I have been at the surgery center for almost 14 years working in pre-op and pacu. I am appreciative of the support that the doctors and staff show to each other, not only on the job but when many of us have experienced life challenges. In almost 14 years, I have observed a work environment that has changed in physical size but not in its care for each other. I believe that together we provide a high quality of service and care to our patients. I am thankful for my job and those I work beside daily. They make it enjoyable to go to work each day.

Bluegrass Specialty Surgery Center has become a second family to me and there's no where else I've worked that truly cares about you as an employee, even down to the smallest of things. I'm happy to call it my second home and to be surrounded by physicians and staff that make going to work enjoyable and share in all your triumphs and struggles.

I love my job and working at BSSC mainly due to my coworkers, management and physicians. I share the same vision and we are dedicated to the same goals and achieving great patient outcomes. These commonalities create a healthy environment that makes us all feel like family. I can say I still feel this way after 10 years!

This is a great place to work. One of the biggest reasons for me is how I'm treated as an employee and not just amongst my nurse colleagues (which we have the best nurses) but with everyone from the front office staff, PT, managers to anesthesiologist and surgeons. I feel like if I ever have a question or opinion on something I feel as though I'm listened too. When my daughter broke her arm within 10 minutes one of the doctors assistants was on the phone with the hospital getting the xrays and the surgeon was looking at the them letting my wife and I know what he thought. I've never worked at a place that actually shows through their actions how much they care about their employees.
